Facilitator of Quality of Life:
Being an effective Facilitator requires more than just being the one person
willing to do most of the work. You need to act as a catalyst, motivator,
and policy maker. This seminar will give you strategies to organize your
time and that of your fellow board of directors or committee members to
be most productive. You'll learn what responsibilities you need to shoulder
and which ones others should be carrying. Our expert panel will show you
ways to develop your own leadership skills and give you concrete tips

Quality of Life: The Duties and Responsibilities of the Facilitator:
The Facilitator's job is to identify problems, recommend priorities, implement
policies, effectuate programs and facilitate the decision making process
of the Board of Directors. The Facilitator must exercise leadership, finesse
the obstacles and have the respect of the members of the Board of Directors.
Decision making by opinion poll is not acceptable; therefore, it is necessary
that the Facilitator, in conjunction with the Board of Directors, recommend
and determine the objective, ascertain the feasibility, calculate the
cost, weigh the benefits and consequences. The duty of the Facilitator
is to "SEE" (Scrutinize, Examine and Evaluate) the entire picture and
assist the Board of Directors in setting the goals to improve the Quality
of Life for the corporation. In conclusion, the Board of Directors is
the captain of the ship; the Facilitator is the first mate, who charts
the course, trims the sails, steers the rudder and hopefully doesn't walk
the plank. But as we know, success has many fathers, failure has only
one - the Facilitator.
